In order to arrive to Atins it is necessary to go to the  neighbor city of Barreirinhas, from where boats and cars depart daily to the National Park of the Lençóis

Sao Luis – Barreirinhas:

Bus: The Cisne Branco company buses depart daily from the Rodoviaria Terminal of Sao Luis. Its cost is R$ 26 and the trip lasts four hours.

Taxi: The Barreirinhas taxi cooperative offers taxi shuttle services at R $ 30 per person, or private charter services at R$ 250, and has an average of three and a half hours of travel. Passengers are picked up at the hotel and are taken directly to the airport or port for the purpose of continuing the journey to Atins.

Plane: Travel time is reduced to 45 minutes and costs about R$ 250. An overflight of the National Park Lençóis, can also be arranged with the company.

Jericoacoar/Parnaiba – Barreirinhas:

The path to follow is Camocim - Parnaíba - Tutoia - Barreirinhas. Alternatively, you can take a 4x4 vehicle to Caburé, where you can arrange a boat ride to Atins.

Barreirinhas – Atins:

There are two ways: by land or river

Land: Every day departs at 11 am a 4x4 public Toyota that transfer the natives from Barreirinhas to Atins. The journey takes approximately two hours and the cost is R$ 10. If visitors want to go with their own cars, they should hire a specialized guide who knows the way, but it's important to know that only 4x4 vehicles can access Atins.

River: Riding a speedboat takes about an hour and the cost varies depending on the number of passengers. It is a pleasant stroll along the River Preguiças with stops in the neighboring villages of Bassouras, Caburé and Mandacaru.

There are also public boats leaving daily around 10 am that cost R$ 6. The trip takes 4 hours until Atins, and your are unable to get off the boat in nearby villages.
